LR & SR Elbows (Butt Welding Elbows)

As one of the most essential components in global piping systems, butt welding elbows are mainly used to change the direction of pipelines, connecting pipes at various angles to meet different layout requirements.

They are mainly divided into Long Radius (LR) and Short Radius (SR) types according to the bending radius. Long radius elbows (1.5D) feature a larger curvature radius, which effectively reduces flow resistance and pressure loss, making them the most widely used in general industrial pipelines. Short radius elbows (1.0D) have a smaller bending radius, suitable for space‑limited installations with low flow resistance requirements.

Our elbows are manufactured in strict compliance with ASME B16.9, MSS SP‑43, API, GB/T 12459 and other international standards. Common angles include 90°, 45°, 180°, covering almost all pipeline turning needs.

Wall thickness is available in various Schedule grades, such as Sch 40, Sch 80, Sch 160, XS, XXS, suitable for low‑pressure, medium‑pressure and high‑pressure working conditions. The ends are usually processed with **Beveled Ends (BE) for butt welding, ensuring high connection strength and good sealing performance.
